Bait series Carp Food

20 years of carp fishing with Carp Food products

Choosing the right angling tactics and succesful carp targetting is not a simple matter. Demanding, overfished fisheries and fussy fish do not make it easy for carp anglers to quickly implement this demanding fishing technique.

If you belong to the group of carp anglers who are constantly looking for suitable solutions and are not going to sit still - you have come to the right place. We would like to draw your attention to several factors which may seem insignificant on the surface but are the key determinant of satisfying carp fishing.

We would also like to tell you what to consider when preparing your carp "menu".

Is it worth to experiment on the bank?

It certainly is! But remember that proven products are also good products, tested by many carp anglers for years on many fisheries. You can see our Carp Food series in the bags of many anglers, which can only mean one thing - that fish know these products and are not afraid of them. Carp Food lures have been on sale for 20 years and are still working, having caught thousands of carp, including Przemysław Mrozowski's 2020 giant of 34.6kg (the Miloszewskie Lake record), which you can read more about here.

How to fish for carp effectively?

A good carp hookbait/bait is essential - this statement is most accurate. However, even the best product will not guarantee success if we don't take other guidelines into account.

Start with a good spot!

One of the most important points of a successful fishing session is choosing the right spot to fish. If someone has been fishing for carp long enough, they know this is just the way it is. Look around the reservoir, try to identify where skittish carp could be. We will tell you that quiet places, near reeds or near fallen trees will be a pretty good idea. We don't always have the comfort of choosing the spot, but we can always choose the baits, and that in this age of ubiquitous competition can be the factor that tips the scales of victory in your favour.

Present your bait.

The conditions in the fishery and the presentation of the bait are also important (you can check our section on leader materials, where you will find instructional videos that will teach you how to present your bait well). The type of bait, its colour and presentation should be matched with the fishery you choose, so you need to know it a bit. Pay attention to the turbidity of the water, the type of bottom and the depth where you intend to fish.

Determine your tactics.

A lot of information on the internet and advertisements often misinform carp anglers, especially beginners, who live in the illusion that the bait plays an essential role in carp fishing. Life later verifies these theories and it often turns out that a simple grain of corn or some old boilie becomes a mega killer, attracting huge specimens. That's why another important point influencing the success of your sitter is tactics - that is trying to adapt to the often picky carp's canteen. We must warn you right away - you will have to do it by trial and error, but remember that patience pays off.

You can win everything with good quality!

As you can see, the road to success in a fishery is long, quite winding and depends on many factors which are not always under your control. So let's now focus on the things you can decide on, i.e. choosing the right menu for carp. Yes, we know - we've already written that the choice of colour and flavour depends on the taste of the population of fish living in a given fishery, but remember - you're the one who chooses the quality of the stuff you're given, and this may turn out to be crucial. Generally speaking, if the anglers around you have good quality bait, you need to be armed with equally good or better stuff to just get by. This principle is as important as any other, especially in fisheries where carp are evenly distributed and in waters with increased angling pressure, of which there is no shortage these days.

The baits from the Carp Food series can serve as an example here. Known and appreciated by carp anglers, they have contributed to success in fishing many times. They work well in most reservoirs, whether commercial or wild, and their quality is simply superb.

Why Carp Food?

Carp Food is a series that has been produced continuously almost since the beginning of Tandem Baits, previously known as Impact. Over this time it has undergone some modifications and changes, but its core is still the same effective baits in legendary flavours such as Excellent Strawberry, Lobster & Crayfish, Vanilla Cream, Japanese Squid, Monster Crab, Creamy Banana, Shell Fish, as well as recent hits - Mature Mulberry or Pacific Sardine Pineapple Juice.

The Carp Food product range is very wide and includes many items popular among carp anglers:

  • Boilies

  • Pellets - Mix Pellets, Oil Pellets, Hook Pellets, Ultra Black Pellets, Carp XL Pellets, Soft PVA Pellets

  • Hook baits - floating and sinking baits

  • Boosters, dips, attractors - CSL, Zig Booster, Liquid Maiz, Attract Booster, Attract Activator, Attract Dip

  • Base mixes

  • Bait additives, products for making your own baits and groundbaits at home

  • Grains

This wide range reflects the effectiveness of the Carp Food range and our many years of experience.

The flagship product of the range is the proven Carp Food Boilies, based on a high-protein, fatty and nutrient-rich blend full of oily grains and crushed seeds, extracts and fishy flavours. They contain high quality fish meal and oil and hydrolysed liver.

Ultra Fish Pellets and Hook Pellets, PVA Pellets are nutrient bombs full of fish oil and fishmeal and Oil Pellet is a fishy extreme. These pellets literally float in oil and tempt the fish with their intensity. This range also includes Carp XL Pellet, an inexpensive, highly compressed pellet ideal for carpet baiting.

Although our baits from the Carp Food series have been in bags of carp anglers from all over Poland for years, it is worth highlighting our Pop-Ups here. Their high quality means they can be sliced, cut or crushed and they will still float and smell for a long time, still very well encouraging carp to attack your rigs.

Boosters, attractors and dips from the Carp Food range probably don't need to be introduced to anyone. These high quality products are known for their excellent work in the water and for bringing fish to the fishing spot and keeping them there. When designing the composition of these products, we included years of our experience and knowledge gained not only in our workshops, but most of all on the banks of fishing grounds. The biodegradable gel base that characterises our attractors is designed to stay on the bait for a long time and reach the bottom with it. Only there does it start to work, creating a flavour and aroma cloud to attract fish and stimulate them to feed. Boosters and dips from the Carp Food range dissolve only slightly during the fall, which makes them different from attractors based on glycol or glucose syrups, which dissolve completely when dropped into the water, creating only a column of water, drawing the fish away from the baited area. Depending on the application, boosters, attractors and dips from the Carp Food range are created from thick or very thick solutions containing powdered extracts and flours. The main component of the bases is the highest fraction of CPSG fish meal. This is one of the best types of meal, in which soluble fish proteins contain 70% of the best protein, full of free amino acids. CPSG dissolves very well in water, releasing large amounts of free amino acids, which help the carp detect the food, while also influencing the desired effect of the product. We enrich this intensive baiting base with various flavours and extracts, depending on the flavour. The whole is perfection and effectiveness, which has been confirmed by many anglers in practical use.

Recently we have extended the Carp Food series with products such as: CSL, Zig Booster and Liquid Maiz, the production base of which is fermented corn. As it turns out, fermented products have a magical attraction and a strong influence on carp. Although it is difficult to determine the reason for this behaviour, for us it is enough information to include products based on fermented maize in our offer. And so they came into being:

  • CSL is a mega effective nutritional attractor packed with protein, already well known to a wider audience of carp anglers.

  • Zig Booster is a unique product designed for baiting during zig fishing. It creates a huge milky, extremely aromatic smelling cloud with a mass of tiny particles.

  • Liquid Maiz is a liquid maize, half paste made of fermented dense maize. Unlike Zig Booster, it sticks to everything and as with our other attractors, it sinks to the very bottom.

As you can see, arming yourself with Carp Food series products brings only measurable benefits:

  • Firstly, you get proven and effective products

  • Secondly, you can be sure that they are of the highest quality

  • Thirdly, you can base your entire tactic on products from the same series

  • Fourthly, you can choose from a wide range of flavours and aromas

  • Fifthly - equip yourself with everything you need and go and pluck those carp:)
