How can you tell the difference between a good and effective attractor and a similar product of poor quality? It's really simple - the former provides the right action in the water and is effective in attracting fish over a long period of time. Most boosters, dips etc. dissolve rapidly when placed in the fishery, releasing all their power in one place instantly. Manufacturers seem to forget that fish are guided primarily by their sense of smell. The truth is that using such an attractor can be completely counterproductive - with its intensity cumulated in one area it simply spooks the carp, not showing them our fishing spot. And what happens when there are no fish around? Well, as they say, all the steam will be lost - the attractor will disperse before it has time to send information about a new canteen in the water. We decided to take the bull by the horns at Tandem Baits - we approached the subject professionally and comprehensively.
We involved outstanding specialists in the project, we conducted many tests: in the laboratory and on many fishing grounds. We have managed to achieve our goal - we have designed products, which not only perfectly aromatise and stimulate feeding of fish, but are also nutritious and have a number of parameters responsible for long-lasting attraction. They can effectively bring fish into the swim from even very long distances and, most importantly, keep them there for a very long time. How did we do it? Every booster, dip, etc. consists of a base/carrier and flavours, extracts and flavour additives - the individual elements play a specific role in such a product. The big undeveloped area is the base, which makes up the bulk of the attractors: for most manufacturers it is just a carrier and solvent for the flavours, without any essential features.
At Tandem Baits, we first removed ingredients from the bait bases that are not good for the health of the fish and reduce their desire to feed. The new TB attractor carriers now contain substances of natural origin: high-protein isolates (90%), fruit powders, polysaccharides and fish proteins. They store and release flavours perfectly. Thanks to the use of our new high-speed mixer working in a vacuum, they are very thick, thick syrups, sometimes almost gels. Importantly, without this type of equipment, it is simply impossible to produce products of this class.
Vacuum mixing allows the ingredients to be combined in an exceptionally stable way and gives you a decisive advantage over other solutions - this is why we invested heavily in this equipment. When placed in the swim, the attractor partially dissolves in the first moment creating a bait cloud. However, a large part of it reaches the bottom with the groundbait and works there to effectively attract fish. Fish flavours contain CPSG soluble fish protein concentrate 70%, it is the highest fraction of fish meal, water soluble amino acid attractant. Fruit flavours contain fruit flavour additives, making them even more effective at stimulating fish to feed.
