Fishing sleeping bags, cover

Sleeping bags for fishing & Bedcovers

What is the purpose of a fishing sleeping bag? At first glance, the answer to this question seems very simple - it is used for sleeping. In theory, yes, but sleeping on the water on a warm, rainless night is completely different from sleeping in a cold and wet December weather. It is safe to add that a sleeping bag for the year-round angler will not just be a place to sleep. It will also become a space to safely survive harsh conditions. The carp sleeping bag is a very important part of the carp angler's equipment, it must be of the highest quality and made of the best materials. To offer the best possible products, we turned to a manufacturer of mountaineering sleeping bags, also used in the Himalayas. This collaboration opened the way for us to completely new, extremely advanced materials and technologies. To this we added the knowledge of how a professional carp sleeping bag should be built and function. That a sleeping bag should be warm and protect us from the cold outside during multi-day fishing sessions is obvious, that it should be durable, comfortable and of high quality has long been our standard.

"Fit the sleeping bag to yourself and not yourself to the sleeping bag". Carp fishing and the needs of anglers are constantly evolving, which is why we offer more bespoke solutions in our series. We wondered what could still be improved? When designing the new Phantom and Enforcer models, we had the same thought as with the beds. We differ in height and weight and preferences etc. People of light stature do not need large sleeping bags, while those of larger stature do; everyone has different thermal comfort. Weather conditions change with the seasons, what is an advantage in autumn is a curse in summer e.g. a 5 season sleeping bag you will cook in. That's why our range includes a range of fishing sleeping bags of different sizes, levels of thermal insulation and classes of materials.

Innovations in the Enforcer and Phantom Series

When designing the Enforcer and Phantom, we focused on the individual needs of anglers, taking into account differences in height, weight and thermal preferences.

Phantom Series - The Champion of Insulation and Comfort

How does the sleeping bag work?

Sleeping bags work by using your own body heat to warm the air around you. The more efficient this process is (either by reducing the amount of heated air that can escape, or by reducing the amount of space required for heating), the better the insulation. Fishing sleeping bags are more bulky than mountaineering so a number of solutions are used to reduce heat escape or cold penetration, we fit our sleeping bags with internal and external valances which significantly reduce heat escape. Some sleeping bags have a wind collar which will help to keep the warmth around your shoulders and neck. If you use our new Phantom beds with a 45 mm mattress for a sleeping bag designed in this way, you will be comfortably warm on late autumn nights even without heating. Throw in a bedspread and it's quicker for the water to freeze not you.

Seasonal fishing sleeping bags - how do you choose them for the season?

Most companies specify the type of fishing sleeping bag by the number of seasons. But how do we understand this terminology and how do we choose the right fishing sleeping bag to suit our own needs? Because when we talk about sleeping bags, seasons are used in a different way than when we talk about 'seasons' in terms of weather. We divide carp sleeping bags into seasons, from two to five: Two-season sleeping bags are unlikely to be used in our climate zone. They can be safely replaced by good bedspreads. They are designed for the hottest periods of the summer. Three-season sleeping bags provide insulation from late spring until the end of summer. They will work well during good weather on short trips. Together with a warm bedspread, they will successfully serve from late spring to early autumn. Four-season fishing sleeping bags are products for those who fish practically all year round. These sleeping bags provide warmth even in temperatures around zero. Are you among the group for whom a September fishing session in the rain is a time to be happy, not cry? A four-season is the minimum you should think about. Five-season sleeping bags are products for winter weather enthusiasts, having extra thick insulation to guarantee warmth in cold temperatures. They are recommended as a carp sleeping bag, for anglers for whom rain, snow, wind or low temperatures cannot thwart their next fishing session. When there is no power to keep you indoors, regardless of the conditions outside, the five-season sleeping bag is the ideal option for you. In this group we can still include multi-season sleeping bags, consisting of four layers. They can last a whole season depending on the configuration. They have an inner cocoon which is used in winter, in summer you simply unzip the liner and you are left with a summer sleeping bag.

Bedspreads and their use

In the case of bedspreads, the seasons are not defined, they come in two types - with or without insulation. An insulated bedspread creates extra insulation, and can be used alone when it is very hot, or to warm up the sleeping bag when necessary. In a good five-season carp fishing sleeping bag, you can spend several days with the bedspread unheated, in cold temperatures outside . They can be used in an open brolly, umbrella or outside, i.e. under the proverbial cloud - if there is no constant rainfall.

Thermal locks and curtains

Our carp sleeping bags have a high quality 10mm zip. This will save you nerves when opening it during a bite, when you need to get out in a flash during a bite. And you know what kind of cupid it is when you are zipped up to the neck during a bite. The zipper on your sleeping bag should unzip easily whenever you pull on the top of it. It should also interlock thoroughly to keep out the cold.

What materials we use to make sleeping bags. And what should you know about them?

Material specification and explanation of terms.

Filling and interior fabrics.
